2.  Why do you need POC?

I have tried to explain the reasons with examples, why you may need to obtain POC,  which are as under:-

Example No.1.

If you were Pakistani citizen but have surrendered your citizenship for obtaining the nationality of any other country  and also obtained the same.

Suppose, now you are in the country of your current citizenship (other than Pakistan) and want to come to Pakistan to meet your relatives, friends or any purpose, you cannot enter into Pakistan until and unless you hold Pakistani Visa. In such, case if you want Visa Free entry into Pakistan, you can  obtain POC on the basis of Ex-Pakistani citizen.

Example No. 2.

You are citizen of a country other than Pakistan and have married to a Pakistan citizen and you both want to come to Pakistan. In this case, you will  require a Visa for entry into Pakistan because you don't have any identity document of Pakistan. However, your spouse being a Pakistani citizen will not require a visa and can enter into Pakistan
