| ID Cards Printing Started |
After resignation
of Ex-NADRA Chairman Tariq Malik, NADRA had stopped printing. But now after taking
the charge by Asad Rehman Gilani as Chairman NADRA, NADRA has again started
printing of Cards speedily.
According to a Tweet by NADRA, for clearing the backlog of ID Cards, NADRA has continuously worked on Saturday and Sundry. On the last weekend, more than 233,000 Cards are stated to have been printed, out of which about 224,000 Cards are computerized National Identity Cards and Smart ID Card. 7000 Cards are NICOP (National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis) and POC (Pakistan Card), which after printing have been delivered to Pakistani Consulates for onward delivery to overseas Pakistanis residing in respective countries.
