| Reality about NADRA Passport in 2023 |
A Press
release has been issued, in which, clarity has been given by Director
General, Immigration and Passports about the misunderstanding of news of
issuance of Passport by NADRA directly.
The DG, Immigration
and Passports clarified that actually NADRA itself is not going to issue Passports
rather it is the Department of Immigration and Passport who was already issuing
passports and will continue to issue passports.
NADRA has no
concern with preparation and issuance of Passport. The Department of Immigration and Passport
has just set up its counters in NADRA offices in some Tehsils due to current
financial situation of the country, to limit the expenses and for convenience
of the public.
It has been further
stated that as soon as the countries financial status becomes stable, separate
Passport offices will be opened in those Tehsils.
The counters of Passport office have been set in those Tehsils where the population is more and where there is no passport office.
