Birth
Certificate is a document issued by concerned Union Council /Cantonment Board
etc. Currently, numbers of Union
Councils are issuing only Computerized Birth Certificate.
A computerized
Birth Certificate is slightly different from the manual birth
certificate that used to be issued by the union councils.
A computerized
birth certificate is known by different names (1) Birth Certificate NADRA
(2) Computerized Birth Registration Certificate NADRA (3) Birth Registration
Certificate.
There is misconception
among the people that a computerized Birth Certificate is issued by NADRA,
which is not correct. In fact, a computerized birth Certificate is issued by only
Union Councils or Cantonment Board and not by NADRA.
A computerized
birth Certificate contains the information about birth of a child like name of child,
gender, date of birth, District of Birth, Religion etc.
Besides,
bundle of other information name of child’s father, nationality, CNIC number,
name of child;s mother, nationality, CNC number, name of Grand Father, CNIC number,
address of parents, name of applicant who applied for birth certificate, relation
of applicant with child, Date of entry and date of issue of birth certificate
etc is also mentioned.
