In this article, I have explained the procedure on how to renew NICOP online. Either you are in UK, USA, UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujaira), Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Australia or any other country. The process is almost same with just minor changes.

The NICOP renewal online process involves few steps like gathering document, applying online, paying its fee and receiving the NICOP at the given address.

1. Documents required for NICOP renewal

Photograph of applicant
Pakistani or Foreign Passport, if passport is not available then undertaking, declaring the reason of not having Pakistani passport

2. NICOP renewal fee

Fee of NICOP renewal is not fixed and may vary depending on the following things:-

Application Processing Priority (Normal, Urgent or Executive)

Country of Stay
NICOP Delivery address/ country

Supposes, Application processing priority is Executive, country of stay is UK and delivery country of NICOP is also UK, in such case, NICOP renewal fee would be USD 93.75.

Be noted, this NICIOP fee is checked on 06^th August 2023.

3. NICOP Renewal time

There are three application processing priorities (1) Normal (2) Urgent (3) Executive. The time of renewal of NICOP depends on basis of priority you have chosen. The NICOP renewal type based on each application processing priority is as under:-

Be noted, if you want choose “Executive” option for application processing priority, you will require to pay more fee as compare to “normal”.

How to apply for NICOP Renewal- Step by Step Guide

Initial steps for renewal of NICOP

Visit: https://id.nadra.gov.pk/
Create an Account and login. If you already have an account, then continue with your existing login account and password
Click on “New Application”
Click on “Issuance of Identity Document (CNIC, NICOP, FRC, POC)
Click on “Identity card (CNIC, NICOP, POC)”
Click on “National identity card (For Pakistanis residing Overseas/Dual Nationals) – NICOP”
Reply with “Yes” against question "Do you already have any identity document (CRC / ID Card / NICOP) issued by NADRA containing 13 digit identity number"
Write ”NICOP number” against question “Please enter your 13 digit Identity Number (written on your existing Identity card)”
Write “date of issue of NICOP” against question “Please enter issue date (written on your existing Identity card)
Select “Modify data on NICOP such as mother name, date of birth, address etc” from the given options.

1. Application Details

In this section, you are required to choose “Application processing priority”, country of stay, the country where you want your NICOP to be delivered, and to upload your photograph.

In this section, you will require to pay the NICOP fee through Debit Card or Credit Card.

3. Personal Information

In this section, name, gender, marital status, native language, religion, blood group, identification mark, old citizen number, twin sibling, AJK residential status and many other options are available.

In this section, you are required to put the information about 02 verifiers / Witnesses including their contact numbers.

8. Upload Supporting Documents

In this section, you are required to upload Data Acquisition Form/ Verifier Form NICOP and other relevant documents. Be noted, the relevant documents must be scanned, signed, thumb impressed as per the provided guidelines, failing which your application processing may be delayed or refused.

9. Review

In this section, you can review all the data.

10. Declarations

In this section, you are required to check mark the applicable boxes and answer to the question about criminal proceedings.

11. Submit Application

Once all is done, you can submit application. After submission of application, your NICOIP application will be allotted a unique tracking ID, which you can use for future help in case your application is delayed or refused.

12. Delivery of NICOP at the address

If no objection is found, your NICOP will be delivered at your provided address.

Can I apply for an urgent NICOP renewal?

Yes, you can apply for urgent NICOP renewal in “Urgent” or “Executive”category. The Executive category is super fast than urgent.
